Avoid unexpected increases: Choose broadband with no mid-contract price rises
An increasing number of broadband providers are now offering genuinely fixed-price broadband deals — giving customers peace of mind with no unexpected mid-contract price hikes.
Providers including BE Fibre, Fibrus, Lit, Rebel, Trooli, Truespeed, YouFibre, and Zzoomm offer broadband packages where the monthly price stays the same for the entire contract — no hidden surprises, no annual inflation-linked price increases.

What’s changed? New rules on mid-contract price increases (effective January 2025)
Ofcom introduced new regulations banning percentage-based and inflation-linked mid-contract price rises in 2025. Under these rules:
Price rises must be clearly stated in pounds at the time of sign-up.
No more vague “up by inflation + X%” increases.
All planned increases must be transparent and agreed upon upfront.
Despite this, some providers still plan annual fixed increases — for example £3 more per year on a £30/month plan. That’s a 10% increase in the first year, and a 20% increase if it rises to £36 the following year.
Over the course of a contract, these incremental hikes can cost you £70 or more than the original deal you signed up for.
